    Super nervous!

So I have just booked my ROK in to have the bull bar, winch & snorkel put on at my local tjm. She goes in on the 18th & 19th of this month. Looking forward to getting it done for my trip up north soon but super nervous as itís the first time I would be trusting my rok with someone else [emoji31]My next thing after this is to get the tow bar sorted. My local Vw dealer want $1300 for it including fitting, I dunno if Iím getting ripped off, but at the same time Iíve read that if itís not a genuine Vw one it will void the warranty because itís a brand new vehicle?! Iím pretty sure they just use the Hayman Reece bars anyway.

    Looks good

Towbar modules and hitches are covered at length on the forum, quick search will yield plenty of posts although it may take awhile to shift through the chaff

Westfalia tow module - LED compatable - can be sourced from @liquidforce. Whatever module you get will need to be coded by someone.

Hitch can be sourced from numerous suppliers, someone else may have a good recommendation on where to get it.

    Hey Edwin,

Thanks for the reply, yeah Iíve had a look at a fair few of them, thanks for that. There are so many different opinions!

Before the rok I had a 1995 hilux, she was just plug n play without things. Compared to that the rok is like a spaceship lol, I think Iím gonna keep having a look around before I make my mind up which direction I want to go. I do like the idea of the Westfalia module.

    I shall keep you updated

hi Mc, The Westfalia module is an OEM option with Volkswagen part numbers and it must be coded to work correctly. Just make sure you have access to a VW dealership or a tow bar pro to get this done if you choose to go this way.
Alternative is the basic wiring kit. This one is a scotch clip onto the lights and no faults or coding.

Liquidorce for the module and mr hitches for the towbar on Ebay.
Takes about an hour to fit the module and ten minutes for the hitch. My dealer coded the module charged half an hour labour and is totally compatible with the car canbus system
