    Amarok coolant pumps. How many?

After the head gasket repairmy amarok is now throwing an engine fault light and going into limp mode. The mechanic who scanned it said the fault related to the egr coolant pump. I had the egr blocked off and tuned out a while ago. Is this coolant pump b that is mentioned in similar faults or is there two separate auxiliary pumps? I have one on the passenger wheel well but some have mentioned another at the bottom of the radiator.

No he didnít. Going to a more local guy on Thursday with better diagnosis gear to try and narrow down which pump it is . I understand they appear to have 2 auxiliary pumps, I think. I donít know which one is considered to be the egr coolant pump.

There's more than one pump coolant pump b just crapped itself on mine and did exactly what your car was doing only a few weeks ago was going into limp mode then engine light came on. It's an ancillary coolant pump apparently. Mine was shorting and throwing a bunch of different faults.

I'd imagine it's the electric pump in front of the battery is it's throwing a code for it

Ute is back from a diagnosis session. The egr pump that is throwing the fault is the one in front of the turbo and now I have actually had a good look at it and follow the hoses it is easy to see why it is the egr pump. Just over $700 fitted for a genuine part , $2-300 for a wrecker part or $80 odd from overseas. I might give the overseas units a run. I am sick of throwing money into this thing. Spoke to the guy who did my egr delete and he reckons this pump can’t be deleted which sucks as it does nothing anymore now the egr is gone. The in.y good thing is it is easy to access . I don’t have to remove the engine to get to it.
